Chick-fil-A

So I'm just chillin eating a chicken sandwich and nuggets. I just spilled my water all over my shirt. It was pretty sweet. I'm eating by myself bc some dudes went to panera bread, and some went to moes southwestern grill. Its been a while since an update. Right now were on the "comes from the heart" tour, which is our headline tour on the eastcoast before we roll into the metal for the masses tour. So far its been great, and I'm stoked were out with a bunch of our good friends in veil of maya, impending doom, and winds of plague. The other night we played in motgoery, alabama alex did a guitar swing and his strap unravelled(spelled right?) off. His guitar ended up in the middle of the stage! He put his hands on his head automatically when he noticed it flew off, and he was just like OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOO! One of the funniest things I've seen in a while. Thank god his guitar ended up not being fricked up at all haha. Welllll tonight were in Louisiana and I'm gonna go take a nap in the van on the way there. Hope to see all you guys and girls soon. MAY 13th =COMES FROM THE HEART :)

THERE'S AN EGG RIGHT THERE!!

Today was so much fun, I went to my Uncle's house and a bunch of family came. All the little grand-children went on the egg hunt, it was so cute. I love my family, and I'm so thankful that were really close. How was your guy's and girl's easter? Did you eat a lot? I am part Filipino, well half white, half filipino.. so we ate asian food for the most part haha. Thats how it is on Christmas, but on my mom's side we eat the traditional American food for those Holidays. I ate alott, but I'm pretty happy I didn't end up eating wayyy tooo much. I paced myself and just pretty much ate alll day haha. We've got just a couple days home before we hit the road again, and for 2 months!! Its a longgggggggggggg time. I'm hoping the next couple days won't be too crazy and stressful. Hopefully I can hold my sanity. We just played the Spring Breakdown fest, and wow... It was really really packed. There was probably 2500-3000 people there. Totally cool, As for me, I wasn't really happy with our set, just because the way we played, that stuff bums me out sometimes. Its okay though cause I know we're always gonna have good and bad shows. ALWAYS, not matter how much we play.. There will always be a guitar cutting out here and there, or a drum pedal breaking, and all that stuff, or a mic not working.. It's just what happens. It was definitely really cool to be there though! A lot of our friends played, so it was just a lot of fun to hang out with them. While there we had to sign a wholeeeee bunch of posters and prizes for pre-orders. The way that works is I think the first 500 or 1000 or something who pre-order the CD will get prizes.. There are some REALLY awesome prizes, and they will be revealed sometime next week! Well my family is all leaving, and I need to go say goodbye since I won't see them for a while! Hope you all had a great day!

P.S. Instead of posting here while on the "Metal For The Masses," tour, we will be posting blogs for alternative press, and they will be included on their website.

More exciting news coming soon. Stay safe.

Finally!!!

So we just put up a brand new track from our upcoming CD "Comes From The Heart," which will be out May 13th! We are so excited to give you something new, and something we're really proud of! We can't wait for you all to actually get your own copy! Things over here have just been crazy! We're trying to prepare for our upcoming tours and get everything inline for the release of "Comes From The Heart." It is really stressful, so I hope it's worth it! I think you'll all dig the new CD a lot! Other than all that.. I've just been hanging with my family and friends, because once we leave in a couple day we're out for 2 and some months! crazy huh? I know.. So please COME OUT and support us. We need you, we miss you guys, and we can't wait to meet you all. Today I was in a photoshoot for a new Christian clothing company called "INRI clothing." Their stuff is so cool, my kind of style and I think that people will like it even if they don't have the same Christian beliefs. Their shirts display a really positive message, and I think its rad! So what else.. hmm. OH ya! Spring Breakdown tomorrow! I am so excited.. I hear there are over 2,000 tickets sold already.. So crazy! We are pumped, but a little ehh cause we haven't played live in a month! So you know what that means, right? RUSTYYY!! haha, so we'll see! We'll do our best, I'm sure we'll all have fun even if it was just me playing drums and the crowd singing along, with no other instruments involved..*anyone remember that one? Were you there?* So yeah, just real real busy, what have you guys been up to? Any new bands your interested in? I've been listening a lot to a band called Danger Radio from Seattle, Washington. They're like funk/dance/pop music. Maybe not your cup of tea, but they are sure talented. Wellllll, I am so tired, and I've got a long day ahead of me tomorrow!

We will be having pre-orders up soon for "Comes From The Heart!" We will have a bunch of really cool prizes revealed as well. We'll always have new updates on our myspace, with new songs, news etc. So keep your eyes and ears open for it! Thanks so much for your support!

Love,
Casey

How goes it?

It's been a little while. We've got home from the Doghouse tour, and it was so much fun. We love all the bands that joined us on the road. Now we're resting as much as we can before we hit the road for 8 or so weeks. We're still busy making sure everything is going great and on track for the new record called "Comes From The Heart," which comes out May 13th, we're also just getting ready for the next tour, doing a couple new things we've never done before which we're excited about. I can't wait for everyone to hear and see all this stuff. I think its pretty cool.. haha. Yesterday I went to Disneyland with my friend Philippe and his girlfriend Samantha, it was a bunch of fun. It made me realize, dang, I am blessed to be able to just go there any day that I'm home... I'm not trying to sound corny, but it's some peoples dream to make it to Disneyland before they pass on. I just thought that it brings up even more that I just kind of overlook that I'm, sometimes, not that grateful for. Like drinking water..

My dad is a pastor and recently went to the Philipines to go do missionary work. He went to a small town in the jungle, the houses were made of sticks and people would hike 4 miles with their whole families, babies and everything, to go and get food and water there. It's a bit past thanksgiving, but I think you should often think about what you have, even if your life is turned upside down, there is always things to be grateful for. Look down at your feet, I'm pretty sure 99% of you who read this have feet. Thats a huge thing to be grateful for.

I hope that you all look into our lyrics when you hear our songs. The music and screaming is probably the least coolest part of the band haha. Jesse is the man, and he has a lot of great things to say in the new album, a lot of really cool messages.

I hope that out of this you guys and girls can think for a second, and realize a few things. Maybe tell someone you are grateful for how much they mean to you.

Have a great day!
I'm getting ready right now for my cousins b-day party, she's filming it for for Sweet 16. Her names Chloe, so keep an eye out.

Love, Casey

Snow sucks

Snow sucks! We're in boise, idaho and it is so freeezzinggg!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone who came out lastnight, and the last couple nights in seattle and spokane, you guys rocked the houseeeeeeee! We just ate Del Taco here with all the bands minus a majority of my band bc they wanted to go to golds gym. We have a 17 hour drive back to stockton, CA! Such a bummer... especially since its in freaky scary weather. Roads are slippery. No fun. We are waiting for the rest of my dudes to come back from the gym. I'm currently in the ghost insides van telling funny stories and talking about all the paramore rumors. I hope none are true!! Last night a friend of ours got us a really nice hotel room and at the hotel they had the besttt fresh, warm cookies. I ate so many that I ended up falling asleep with the worst stomach ache ever, and waking up with the same. When I was younger, I used to eat so much candy before I went to bed that ide cry myself to sleep. How pathetic is that? Well my band is about to get back and I need to go run through the cold to the van. Talk to you guys soon!

Overnight drives!

Woohoo, cheers, hi five. Sike! Nobody likes overnight drives. Well maybe its just us..They're fun maybe 1% of the time, other times its just exausting. Thank you to everyone who came out to the shows in santa cruz and livermore, they we're both really great, and you guys and gals were awesome! Did you come? Did you have fun? We just drove overnight to Spokane, WA, we're staying the night with our friend marshall after the show. He's a really cool guy! He sings for that ultimate pop/deathmetal band The Warriors. We're really excited to play Spokane tonight, we haven't been here in over 2 years! It should be a lot of fun. So today I woke up with a bloody nose because of the elevation! Pretty cool? Totally sucked. Its beautiful here in Spokane and there's snow all over the ground and we wish we had snow boards, we all suck at it but its fun. You guys snowboard? We just got the itinerary for another headline for 2 weeks on the eastcoast w/ our GREAT friends Impending Doom, winds of plague, and veil of maya. I can't wait!!! I hang out with the impending doom dudes everytime were both home and they're some of my best friends! It will be awesome, bc when I'm gone for a while I get a little homesick, sometimes a lot homesick haha. Lastnight we got into a superr nice 24hr fitness gym for free! I actually worked out my scronny arms. Who hates working out? It sucks, But my band loves it. It was actually pretty cool, I went in a steam room afterwards and they had eyucaliptis(totally spelled wrong) in it and it makes you feel greattttt! We then went in the spa and showered up.
*when typing this I just had the craziestttt heartburn* okay this post is weak and boring, I don't really have that much cool stuff to say except I think were going to see step up 2 right now if we can find parking.

ahh

Tour is going really great, except for the fact I've been pretty exausted. We did an overnight drive to a place called livermore, which I actually never even heard of. I had to stay up the whole night in the passenger seat while jimbo the merch bro drove. We talked about music, life, god, all the good stuff, but then I got 4 hours of sleep. We got to livermore and I was so surprised there were people who lived there. Its in the middle of nowhereee! Then I thought there wouldn't be anyone at the show, or maybe the venue would be wierd. But nope! The show was really awesome, and the venue was really sweet too. The kids there were so cool. Well I'm just getting up now and gotta get going, we're all going to eat at red robins right now!(our favorite place to eat when on the road) See ya!

-Casey

P.S. Anyone see the step up 2 movie?
I want to badly!

1st day of DOGHOUSE TOUR!

So we're on our way to the venue right now, blasting the awesome jams of acceptance. I'm laying in my bech(second row). Jimmy our friends in the boss seat, alex is in shotty, jesse is behind me reading some new book he got from borders, and ryan is sleeping. Darel is actually already in AZ spending time with his lady there. This tour should be really cool, hitting places we rarely get a chance to hit on a regular tour. We're excited to play with the bands oblige, the ghost inside and veil of maya. I am so tired! We practice at like 1A.M. this morning, and then I went to bed at 4 a.m. For some reason.. I think I'm addicted to watching my favorite bands on youtube. I am gonna get some rest. See those of you guys who are coming tonight in Mesa, AZ. For the rest of you, we'll see you soon!

music.

Man! Music is so awesome. I know its cliche to say, but when I have a bad day I can put something on and BAM i'm already feeling better. I feel like i can't go without music for long... I've been through a bunch of ipods, and I think the reason is because when I have one, I use it so much. haha. I think its so cool how there are certain bands for certian moods, or times... If we're on a long drive, we always put on an awseome band called Karate, its just a good time, and makes the driving go by fast, they're just all around feel good music. If I am angry I usually put on Terror or Blood Has Been Shed. If I'm just chillin I'll put on Nevertheless! They're great! If I am sleeepy I can put on Sigur Ros. I love most music, and I can really appreciate almost anything, except some mainstream rap stuff that has no talent or purpose rather than talking about how much money they have, when they really just rent their jewelry and cars for their music videos. Everyone in the band has a wide range of music taste, and I would just like to give my 2 cents on things I think you should open up to... There's so muchhh music that you may not have been exposed to yet, maybe your only listening to hardcore and metal.. Expand your taste, and get jammin!

Here are a couple of my favorite bands:
www.myspace.com/enginedown
www.myspace.com/amfootball
www.myspace.com/denaliband
www.myspace.com/mybandowen
www.myspace.com/owen
www.myspace.com/ascitiesburn
www.myspace.com/therocketsummer
www.myspace.com/codeseven
www.myspace.com/dredg

What are some of your favorite bands?
Is there a band that just puts you in a good mood no matter what?

-Casey

P.S. I'm bummed Paramore didn't win the "best new artist "grammy. They deserved to win! I reallyy don't think Amy Winehouse deserved it at all! She wasn't even there!

Its complicated!

Its been I think three days, i still can't figure out how to get the hang of adding friends, and other basic things of this site.. Its complicated it!  I hope I don't have to go and press add, to every person who tries to add, that would take a long time. Can everyone still see the entries we'll post even though they're not our friends? I guess this whole "connecting with our fans on livejournal" plans wouldn't make sense if we can't learn how to use this. Give us a little more time haha. In the meanwhile, I'll tell you what I did today.. I was up till 5:30a.m. I went out with some friends and we just drove around and talked. We went to some freaky dark parking garage thats been abandonded for years, and theres supposed to be some crazy people who live under there.. We were all too scared to get out of the car and explore so we got snacks at a gas station instead haha. I'm a big fan of candy.. and actually use to eat it so much when we first started touring that I'de fall asleep with the worst stomach pain in the world, almost crying sometimes. hahaha! back on track.. Went to bed at 5:30a.m. like I said and woke up at 12. I ate a little, now that I think of it.. I can't remember what I ate for lunch, but I did have in-n-out for dinner.. Who knows anything about In-n-out? Thats right.. You probably don't unless you live in CA or NV. Its a great burger place over here, you have to try if you come. I did a little skateboarding and hangin with friends, playing drums and guitar, and figuring out our practice schedule for the upcoming tour. We're playing a couple new songs for you. So excited! I hope you guys like them, cause we're really pumped on them!! hmmmmm, Alex brought by his camera that we use to record everything when we're on tour, so that I could watch some old videos of us on tour and from recording. That was just a little ago.. Then my dad finally came home after being away for a month in the Philipines. Hes a pastor and was speaking out in their providences, and iI'm glad hes home safe. My sister actually just got back from New Zealand too, she was there for a bit. I'm happy we're all home together and safe. I love them so much. Do any of you skate? Go to gas stations and stay up all night talking with friends? Eat candy till you cry yourself to sleep? HA! What do you guys do for fun?

Atleast I know how to have to post these now, I'm pretty sure the guys will post some stuff soon too.

One last story!  I swear its funny..

I forgot to tell you, the other night I went to a 80's dance with my sister for her work party. Shes an accountant at this clothing store's headquarters called "Tilly's." It was so much fun, I dressed up like Sid Vicious, and she was like some, i dunno, 80's girl.. haha. It was so cool, they gave everyone and free van's shoes and shirts. Their give aways were insane, but we didnt win anything haha. They had a good DJ playing all the sweetest 80s music, of course Michael Jackson was rockin the house. This is the best part.. They had SO much great food, you could pick from either american, mexican, or italian food. I went for the italian. I devoured my plate, and got seconds, chicken marsala, so good. They had these old 80s movies being projected huge on the walls, and  they were right above our table. We're just eating and watching and the next thing you know there was a real revealing sex scene. Totally caught me and my sister off gaurd, it showed everything! I started laughing and my asparagus went up my throat and got STUCK IN MY NOSE! So painful! I wasn't laughing anymore... It totally sucked.

Thats it!

Love you guys. Can't wait to see you on the road for the Doghouse Tour.

what the frick!?

How in the heck does all the stuff on LJ work??  I'm so used to myspace... I don't even know how to respond to peoples messges or how to accept their friend requests. Will someone please message us and tell us how to do the basics..I know.. i'm a loser.

-Casey

Woahhh it worked!

COME ON!!!

I just figured out a little bit of how to work this thing, not to mention I've been trying to get us on LJ for the last couple months, and got DENIED time after time. I JUST wrote a whole blog, basically the same one I'm writing now, then accidentally pressed "back," and it erased my whole entry. sweet huh? I hate how it does that.. For some reason it only does it sometimes when your trying to write something that actually matters.. Anyways, back on track now! I have no clue how to use this yet, and I don't think that any of the other guys know how to yet either. I thought this was a LJ community.. but we have no friends... I don't even know how to get friends on this. hahaha. Right now its a LJ bedroom.. get it? Cause its just me and my bedroom, and no one knows about it yet.. totally not funny, i know. Well have a great day, maybe once we get this figured out you will be hearing a lot more about us, our daily and our random thoughts. I'm gonna go eat, hang out, skateboard, then head to practice in a couple hours preparing for the Doghouse 08 Tour

WEAYYOOOO,
Casey
